Elizabeth is the last surviving member of the House of Lancaster. She is a beautiful and intelligent young woman, but she is also a prisoner of the Yorkists. She is guarded by a cruel and sadistic man named Sir Richard Ratcliffe. Ratcliffe torments Elizabeth, both physically and mentally. He beats her, starves her, and threatens to kill her.
Despite the hardships she faces, Elizabeth never gives up hope. She believes that one day she will be rescued and restored to her rightful place as Queen of England. She finds solace in her faith and in the love of her ladies-in-waiting, Anne and Margaret.
One day, a young man named Thomas Grey is brought to the Tower. Thomas is a Yorkist soldier, but he is also a kind and compassionate man. He is horrified by the way that Elizabeth is being treated, and he vows to help her escape.
Thomas and Elizabeth fall in love, but their happiness is short-lived. Ratcliffe discovers their plan to escape, and he has Thomas arrested. Thomas is tortured and executed, and Elizabeth is once again imprisoned.
Elizabeth is devastated by Thomas's death, but she refuses to give up hope. She knows that she must find a way to escape, and she vows to avenge Thomas's death.
With the help of her ladies-in-waiting, Elizabeth escapes from the Tower and flees to France. She is welcomed by the French King, who agrees to help her raise an army to invade England and claim her throne.
Elizabeth returns to England with a small army, and she is soon joined by other Lancastrian supporters. She defeats the Yorkists in a series of battles, and she is finally crowned Queen of England.
Elizabeth's reign is a time of peace and prosperity. She marries a kind and loving man, and she gives birth to a son and heir. She rules England for many years, and she is known as one of the greatest queens in English history.
The Last White Rose is a tale of love, loss, and redemption. It is a story of a young woman who overcomes adversity to achieve her dreams. It is a story that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.
